Natural remedies are a great way to keep asthma symptoms under control. Unlike medicine, these types of remedies for asthma are safe and have no side effects, which makes them ideal.

Herbal Remedies for Asthma
- Extract juice of garlic
- Mix 10 to 15 drops in warm water and drink for a quick relief.
Onion, Honey and Black Pepper
- Mix ¼ cup onion juice, honey and 1 tablespoon black pepper 1/8 tsp.
Licorice and Ginger
- Mix licorice and ginger
- Take ½ tablespoon in a cup of water, drink
Drink a glass of 2/3 carrot juice, 1/3 spinach juice, 3 times a day.
- Add 30 to 40 basil leaves in a liter of water
- Bruise the leaves and drink the water throughout the day for an effective impact.
- Crush ginger, turmeric, black pepper, cumin together and mix with honey to make a paste.
- Take one teaspoon of this mixture per day, it’s very useful in keeping your chest clean
Essential Oils for Asthma
Apply eucalyptus oil, cinnamon oil or clove oil on the chest and back This will help improve breathing. It is important that the essential oils are mixed with a base oil - sesame would be best for people with dry or infection type of asthma. Mustard is good for people with the type of congestion-asthma.

According to natives in Peru, the juice of the Peruvian balsam tree "Cinchona" is very effective in asthma. The syrup is reddish brown in color and is known to be of value for the treatment of respiratory disorders.
The British use a syrup made from thin onion slices soaked in honey. If ingested 3-4 times a day, it improves the asthmatic condition. The other "British" remedy is the bark and leaves of the Ginkgo tree which is known to be effective for allergic asthma and sneezing.

According to them these pungent foods stimulate watery secretions in the nose and respiratory tract, thereby helping to clean clogged parts. Many of these foods make the mucus from an inflammation of the airways thinner, and open up airways which increases the ability of the respiratory tract to function properly.
The Greeks also recommend a tea of fennel seeds, which not only provides assistance regarding the symptoms of asthma, but also is beneficial for many other respiratory ailments. Fennel contains rutin, and vitamins and minerals, including calcium and potassium.
Europe and Canada
In Europe and Canada drinking two cups of strong coffee is recommended as a standard solution for an asthmatic attack. It is said to help within 2 hours. But, in order to make it work properly, the coffee must be used only in a controlled manner as a medicine, in order to prevent an attack, or to relieve it. Too much coffee will trigger an immunity to its effects.
As you can see, there is a wide range of options to help with your asthma symptoms, before you reach for conventional medicines. Make sure you try them when someone else is there to support you, because the effectiveness can differ per person.
